Terms of Participation

Welcome to Body Mind as One created by Janet Drake

These Terms apply to all services i.e.classes, workshops, events, and sessions led by Janet.

By selecting the Terms of Participation check box, you will be agreeing to these Terms.

Please read them carefully before booking, making payment, and attending any of the services.

These Terms maybe updated occasionally.

Service Participation Disclaimers

Only you know your body and mind best, so please participate at a pace that suits you,

However, please let Janet know if your health or abilities have changed since booking and if you should feel any discomfort during the service.

Janet cannot be held liable or responsible for injuries and as such please consider the following before participating:

  • your medical practitioner has advised against participating

  • medication you are taking advises against exercising

  • instructions weren't followed

  • another client is negligent

  • you are under the influence of illegal substances or alcohol

1. Services

  • Availability

Services are based on availability. Janet will do her best to provide booked and prepaid services, but sometimes factors such as venue access or bookings can affect this. If needed, Janet will offer a suitable alternative.

  • Service Cancellations

Janet will let you know about any changes by email, text and/or WhatsApp as soon as possible.

To stay in the loop, please ensure you are subscribed to Body Mind as One's emails and eNews (the link is at the bottom of every webpage)

Please let Janet know of any changes to your contact mobile number and/or email address.

2. Service Fees

Janet may increase service fees and will provide notice 14-days in advance.

3. Service Booking and Fee Payment

Booking opens 30 days prior to and closes 12 hours before the service start time.

Service Booking and Fee payment are required in advance and via the website – www.bodymindasone.com

 

  • Payment Methods:

    • “Debit or Credit Card” uses Stripe payment facility, or

    • “Offline Payment” is Bank Transfer (details are provide when this option is selected). 

Note: this method reserves your service space.  Payment via this method is required 24 hours before the service start to confirm the booking.  Should the payment not be received then the reservation will be cancelled.

Your Service Booking is confirmed once you received the emails with session details and the payment receipt.

  • Refunds

No refunds are issued in the event of client cancellations.

Should Janet cancel a service an alternative service will be offered.

  • Rescheduling a booking

You may reschedule from your account up to 24 hours before the class starts.

You may move your booking to an alternative Service of the same fee value, providing there is space.

Rescheduling may be done once, within 30 days or 24 hours before the start time of the selected service, otherwise the service fee will not be refunded.

  • Cancelling a booking

You may cancel your booking, but the service fee will not be refunded

The following sections relate to respect and curtesy of the venues and to your fellow participants.

5. Service Timeliness

All services will commence promptly as scheduled, and punctuality is expected.

Please ensure that you check any road closures https://one.network/ or for traffic updates https://www.theaa.com/route-planner/traffic-news

The venue entrance may be locked once the Service has started.​

6. Safety & Security

  • Venues

In the practice area, please do not:

  • Bring valuables, crockery glass or anything breakable

  • Wear outdoor shoes

  • Consume food

Please bring:

  • Water in a spill proof bottle

During practice

  • Turn off all Mobile devices

  • Turn Fitness devices to silent mode

  • Forest Bathing

    • Information will be provided at the time of booking and prior to session start

7. Cleanliness

  • Venues

    • If clients have verrucae or similar foot complaints, please wear appropriate foot covering to avoid spreading or worsening the condition.

    • Clients are requested that their bodies, clothing and personal equipment smell neutral, i.e. no strong body odours or perfumes / deodorants

  • Forest Bathing

    • Information will be provided at the time of booking and prior to session start

8. Clothing & Footwear​

  • Venues

    • Clients are advised to wear clothing:

      • that preserves their dignity throughout the full range of movement

      • allows for body alignment to be visible, for guidance and adjustment purposes

      • that do not require belts or zips or buttons, etc. that may cause restriction, discomfort or pain during practice

    • Clients are advised to be in bare feet or wear non-slip socks or lightweight shoes with thin soles (e.g.Tai Chi shoes)

  • Forest Bathing

    • Information will be provided at the time of booking and prior to session start

9. Equipment

  • Venues

    • Clients may wish to bring their own mat and props, but must arrive early for their Service in order to set up

10. Client Communication

  • eMails

Janet will provide Service Information and Updates via email.

Spam / Junk Emails: please ensure that you have added janet@bodymindasone.com to your email account address book to avoid emails moving into Junk or Spam folders.  Certain email providers have, by default, other folders such as Promotions, etc. in which Body Mind as One eMails may be delivered, therefore it is advised to check these before contacting Body Mind as One if you are not receiving information.

Unsubscribing

If you choose to unsubscribe from the eNews service, WIX will deactivate notifications for that email address. Consequently, Janet will assume that you no longer wish to maintain communication and will delete your account in accordance with GDPR compliance. 

Should you unsubscribe in error, please contact Janet.

 

Janet may also contact clients by telephone, text messages, or WhatsApp messages regarding their service.
